Look! a blog...is that a noun?

Hi dearest readers, I know it's been a dark and dreary world out there without my blog posts. No worries, life is turning around, because it's exam time which means.....Time to procrastinate!! So Cheer up emo kid, sit back, and listen to me ramble.

1. When does copying turn from the highest form of a compliment to feeling like a theft of what makes you unique and special? It seems like sometimes the things that you feel like you bring for a friendship or that you introduce to your dearest and most loved are so quickly taken from you and leaving you wonder...now what do I have to offer the world?? It's fun to share things you love with others and have common interested, but when it's taken from you, it makes you feel robbed. That's no fun.

2. I love music. LOVE! And I've been lucky this semester to get to see lots of good music and for it to continue indefinitely as move in with le boyfran (imagine a really bad french accent, it's how I refer to him), which might be the second most exciting thing in my life right now (the music, not the boyfran, he doesn't count in this list because I'm not one of those girls.....ooo which should be a whole different post next time I procrastinate, and if I was a good blogger I would link the two like Ashley does in her blogs...she's my idol) So the music, is the second most exciting thing happening right now. (First can be found below....if i keep up my energy)

Below I have linked a you tube video of my good friend Langhorne Slim because I love this song. Even though I got in a fight with him for not playing it when I went to see him in concert. Afterward I demanded he get back on stage and sing it just for me. That didn't work out so well. But I got a picture! It's no Ashley B, but...woo hoo! Oo and notice the sweet tye dye dress!

Lets hope that ends up a Youtube video, I've never done that before.

3. Traveling!! I am taking the next 8 months off to spend my life savings and this is VERY exciting. I will be traveling to:
-Thailand to visit Most Fun Petra! We will travel together eating street food, hiking to waterfalls and enjoying life for a few weeks
-New Zealand where I will travel alone and work on my accent and look for Frodo and the Ring.
-Japan to visit Aly and meet up with le boyfran where we will go on exotic adventures and learn how to samurai sword fight
-Puerto Rico for all inclusive resorts and beach side bliss (one trip with le boyfran and one with the best alcoholic friends you can find (Emma, Matt, Reece and Aaron)
-Miami for fun and celebrity sightings
-Alaska to chill (HAHAHAH, PUNY) with Sarah Palin.....KIDDING. I will be doing volunteer work with my precious parents. Basically ruining their first ever vacation along without kids. hahaha, they thought they could escape us that easily?!

Ok so that's it, I'll be broke as my jokes at that point and ready to start work (bleh!). I really wanted to go to South America and do some volunteer and adventure travel tours, but I don't know if the time will be made or the money available, so we will see. But I am just so excited about going out on a limb and traveling to places I might never see again, and expanding my horizons through traveling alone. I look forward to the interesting characters I will meet and the memories I will make (that hopefully I will remember. Maybe I should write them down..).

I went on my travel consultation today and was freaked out with how many vaccinations I had to get (apparently my vaccination history was 'sparse'). I got 3 shots for for round ONE! Jeez....

Happy Holidays!

Creativity

For the record...

If I meet one more dog with the name Juno I will have to tell that person that they officially have no creativity at all. I mean jeez, we get it, we ALL saw the movie.

The end.

And anyway, Mason is a WAY cuter name.

Also, poll....who things I should get a 4 month old Plott Hound named Maybeline at the pound?

...me too! Maybeline and Mason, it WAS meant to be!

Houses

I love this house I 'stumbled' upon the other day. Such an amazing concept. I've been recently considering investing some of the money I made this summer into land in the Appalachian mountains and would LOVE to build a home like this one day. Beside my YURT of course!

Another home that takes blows me away:

No really, this is interesting

Think about this: If you were to spell out numbers (one, two, etc.) it would take you until one thousand to use the letter 'A'. that is NUTS.

That's all!

Being a professional

So...as I am finishing up my last few semesters in college I'm starting to realize that one day I'm going to be to be 'grown up' or at least able to pretend. Scratch that, I'll never be one or able to pretend, BUT, I'll be at a place in my life where other people will think that I am/should be.

Perfect example: I'm a TA for an accounting class. These are the last two accounting classes you have to take before you graduate with a bachelors. So, most of the students are less than a year younger than me OR (most of them) are actually older than I am. This makes me uncomfortable. It also makes me want to make a good impression...

The real story: I'm currently sitting in front of 50 students giving them a 5 hours exam and trying to look 'threatening' enough to put the fear into them not to cheat or do anything shady. Well I'm reading for an independent study class while holding a highlighter in my hand and start to roll the highlighter across my face. What do you mean, you ask? I DON'T KNOW. I don't want to talk about that. I felt something wet on my face and realized the cap was off the highlighter and it was one of those 'liquid' ones that just SPEWS highlighter at all the worst moments. Therefore, I now have highlighter ALL over my face and I can't go anywhere to wash it off BECAUSE I'M RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE DAMN STUDENTS. All.Over.My.Face. awesome.... HEY O!
