I love this house I 'stumbled' upon the other day. Such an amazing concept. I've been recently considering investing some of the money I made this summer into land in the Appalachian mountains and would LOVE to build a home like this one day. Beside my YURT of course!

Being a professional

So...as I am finishing up my last few semesters in college I'm starting to realize that one day I'm going to be to be 'grown up' or at least able to pretend. Scratch that, I'll never be one or able to pretend, BUT, I'll be at a place in my life where other people will think that I am/should be.

Perfect example: I'm a TA for an accounting class. These are the last two accounting classes you have to take before you graduate with a bachelors. So, most of the students are less than a year younger than me OR (most of them) are actually older than I am. This makes me uncomfortable. It also makes me want to make a good impression...

The real story: I'm currently sitting in front of 50 students giving them a 5 hours exam and trying to look 'threatening' enough to put the fear into them not to cheat or do anything shady. Well I'm reading for an independent study class while holding a highlighter in my hand and start to roll the highlighter across my face. What do you mean, you ask? I DON'T KNOW. I don't want to talk about that. I felt something wet on my face and realized the cap was off the highlighter and it was one of those 'liquid' ones that just SPEWS highlighter at all the worst moments. Therefore, I now have highlighter ALL over my face and I can't go anywhere to wash it off BECAUSE I'M RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE DAMN STUDENTS. All.Over.My.Face. awesome.... HEY O!

Oh my..

I'm locked in my room. Since I moved in here I've know the doorknob going into my room was tricky, but it didn't bother me. Now, after my morning snuggle with Mason, I go to get coffee and a shower and...I can't open the door. This is no good. How long will I wait in here until I accept the embarrassment cry for help from the roomies?

...maybe I'll go out the sliding glass door and crawl in a window instead.

Trampled by Turtles

Best band name ever. I saw 6 bands in the three days, it was fabulous. But by far my favorite band name was 'trampled by turtles'. I'm going to look for a video of this group because the lead singer had the most amusing way of sitting down and dancing with his guitar while playing that I've ever seen. And he was a hottie. Lets hope my boyfriend never reads this, first I insult him because neither of his bands are 'trampled by turtles' and then again by checking out the band members opening for him. ...HEY-O! Anyway they were a super upbeat hard strummin' bluegrass band from Minnesota and I think they are great!

This is post number 2...

Ashley's making me a laptop case and I'm really excited about it. And lets be honest. I'm writing this blog for ashley b/c she loves blogs, I hope one day she'll put be on her blog reader. I need to make this extra interesting just for that reason. It's a lofty goal.
